DESCRIPTION:Join us for a special monthly outing this month\, with a guided tour around Newcastle Cathedral! \nThis tour will be lead by Speaking Up Together! \nWe will have a tour around the cathedral\, looking at: \n– Where is the vampire rabbit?\n– Find early easy read stories on windows\n– How did the Lantern Tower help sailors?\n– Find the hidden animal carvings and more! \nOnce we’ve had the tour\, we will stop off in the cathedral café for a coffee☕ \nThe tour starts at 2pm\, so please arrive shortly before. \nTravel: \nParking \nDean Street Car ParkThe nearest major public car park. A short walk (with a small staircase) takes you to Amen Corner and the East Entrance of the Cathedral \nOn-street Blue Badge ParkingA few Blue Badge bays are located on St Nicholas Street\, adjacent to the St Nicholas Building. These are unmarked and typically accommodate around 3–4 cars \nPublic Transport \nCentral Station is the closest metro stop\, just a 5 min walk to the cathedral \nHaymarket Bus Station and Eldon Square Bus Station are around a 15 min walk from the Cathedral \nQuayLink Buses (Q2\, Q3): These yellow buses serve the Quayside and stop on Grey Street\, about a 2-minute walk from the Cathedral (turn up Mosley Street)

DESCRIPTION:We run a social group every Tuesday evening at Walkergate Park from 6-8pm. Tea\, coffee and biscuits are on offer\, and we promise you a warm welcome! \nUsually about 30 people attend this group each week – this includes Headway Tyneside members living with brain injury in the community\, inpatients receiving rehabilitation\, and families and carers.\nAs well as plenty of opportunity for friendly conversation\, we also run a different activity each week.
