SUMMARY:Monthly Outing: Quayside Walk
DESCRIPTION:Join us for a stroll along the Quayside\, followed by a soft drink at Quayside Garden Newcastle. \nMeeting point: 1:00pm at the Millennium Bridge\, Newcastle side \nRoute details: The route is 0.9 miles\, step-free and paved throughout. We will cross the Millennium Bridge\, taking the inclined path up towards the Glasshouse (formerly Sage). We’ll follow the footpath along the river\, crossing back to Newcastle via the Swing Bridge\, before making our way back to our meeting point\, stopping off for a soft drink at the ‘Quayside Garden’. If you would prefer not participate in the walk\, you are very welcome to just join us for a drink. \nParking: There is limited parking along the Quayside\, but there are a number of car parks a short walk away from the meeting point. \nQuayside multi-storey car park – NE1 2HJ\nSt Ann’s car park – NE1 3DX\nBaltic Arts Centre car park – NE8 3QZ \nPublic Transport: The closest metro is Manors (10 min walk) or Central (16 min walk). \nPlease let Hannah know if you would like to attend!

DESCRIPTION:Join us for an ice cream at Exhibition Park! From 1:30pm\, on Tuesday 7th July. \nJoin us for a trip to Exhibition Park for an ice cream! We’ll assemble by the (now closed) Urban Green Cafe on the picnic tables. If you’d like to walk across together\, meet us at the Claremont Road entrance to the park. \nThe Claremont Road entrance is wheelchair accessible\, however it is very steep. The alternative entrance through Jesmond is more level. \nWe are hoping for sunshine\, but there is undercover seating in case of rain. \nPublic transport: \nMetro: \nThe closest metro stops are Jesmond (13 min walk) and Haymarket (12 min walk) \nBus: \nHaymarket bus stop is also a 12 min walk away \nParking: \nClaremont Road Car Park is a 2 min walk away \nPlease let Hannah know if you’d like to attend! \n  \n
