DESCRIPTION:Walking football is a fun and safe way for players to enjoy football and socialise together\, in teams up to 7-a-side. \nWalking football involves no running\, jogging\, or heading. Physical contact is kept to a minimum – no slide tackling or tackling from behind. The ball has to stay below chest height. \nOur walking football group runs every Wednesday from 1-2pm. We take regular drinks breaks\, and have with mixed teams of men and women and a variety of age groups and abilities. The coaches at Newcastle United Foundation are all highly skilled\, and make sure that everyone feels included and goes home with a smile on their face. \nThese sessions are free of charge\, thanks for kind sponsorship from Sintons. \nWe always welcome new players – if you would like to give it a try\, please contact us to find out more.

DESCRIPTION:On the second and fourth Wednesday of the month\, we hold an informal drop-in session at Shieldfield Art Works (SAW)\, between 2-4pm. Tea\, coffee and biscuits are on offer and we promise you a warm welcome!\nThis is a chance to have a cuppa and a catch up with friends old and new. This group is based around friendly conversation – our members’ experiences are invaluable and through building relationships with one another we can develop a strong and supportive community for brain injury survivors and their families.
