We play 4 quarters of 10 minutes each\, with mixed teams of men and women and a variety of age groups and abilities. DESCRIPTION:Join us for a stroll around Saltwell Park\, previously voted ‘Britain’s Best Park’\, followed by a soft drink at Saltwell Towers. \nMeeting point: Saltwell Park car park\, off East Park Road. \nRoute: There will be two route options on the day: \n 1. 0.8km circular route around the peaceful and beautifully fragrant Rose Garden. \n2. 2.4km circular route around the lake\, inhabited by several different species of water fowl. \nBoth routes have inclines which are occasionally steep.  There are a number of benches on both routes for rest periods as needed\, and both routes are wheelchair accessible. \nParking: There is a free car park just off East Park Road\, with several Blue Badge spaces. DESCRIPTION:On the second and fourth Wednesday of the month\, we hold an informal drop-in session at MEA House\, between 2-4pm. Tea\, coffee and biscuits are on offer and we promise you a warm welcome!\nThis is a chance to have a cuppa and a catch up with friends old and new. This group is based around friendly conversation – our members’ experiences are invaluable and through building relationships with one another we can develop a strong and supportive community for brain injury survivors and their families.

DESCRIPTION:Walking football is a fun and safe way for players to enjoy football and socialise together\, in teams up to 7-a-side.\nWalking football involves no running\, jogging or heading. Physical contact is kept to a minimum – no slide tackling or tackling from behind. The ball has to stay below chest height. \nWe run a walking football group every Wednesday from 1-2pm. We play 4 quarters of 10 minutes each\, with mixed teams of men and women and a variety of age groups and abilities. The coaches at Newcastle United Foundation are all highly skilled\, and make sure that everyone feels included and goes home with a smile on their face. \nThese sessions are free of charge\, thanks for kind sponsorship from Sintons. \nWe always welcome new players – if you would like to give it a try please contact us to find out more.
