DESCRIPTION:We run a social group every Tuesday evening at Walkergate Park from 6-8pm. Tea\, coffee and biscuits are on offer and we promise you a warm welcome!\nUsually about 30 people attend this group each week – this includes Headway Tyneside members living with brain injury in the community\, inpatients receiving rehabilitation\, and families and carers.\nAs well as plenty of opportunity for friendly conversation\, we also run a different activity each week. Keep your eyes on our event page to see what is coming up! Our regular activities include table top games\, quizzes\, boccia\, family support sessions\, guest talks and much more. \nLet your voice be heard: we will be joined by Alex Wilson\, Trainee Clinical Psychologist. She is planning some research about support for people with brain injury after leaving hospital and wants to hear your views. Read more about the research project.

DESCRIPTION:On the second and fourth Wednesday of the month\, we hold an informal drop-in session at MEA House\, between 2-4pm. Tea\, coffee and biscuits are on offer and we promise you a warm welcome!\nThis is a chance to have a cuppa and a catch up with friends old and new. This group is based around friendly conversation – our members’ experiences are invaluable and through building relationships with one another we can develop a strong and supportive community for brain injury survivors and their families.
