DESCRIPTION:Come and join us for a walk and a coffee around Saltwell Park in Gateshead! \nThe park boasts walking routes that are paved and flat\, with a beautiful lake and gardens to walk around. \nThere is also a café to stop at for a hot or cold drink\, where we can either sit in or take away\, dogs are welcome in the café. \nGetting there: \nBy foot \nThe park is easily accessible by foot from many areas of Gateshead. A walk from the centre of Gateshead will take around 30 minutes (also from the nearest metro – Gateshead). \nThe park has entrances on East Park Road\, West Park Road\, Saltwell Road South\, Saltwell View and Joicey Road. \nBy car \nPostcode NE8 4SF will take you directly to the car park. The car and coach park is accessed from Durham Road (A167) via Joicey Road. The car park is free all year round and includes three blue badge spaces. \nBy bus \nThe buses 53 and 54 run regularly from Gateshead Interchange to Saltwell Park. \nThe gardens are free access. \nPlease let Hannah know if you would like to come!

We take regular drinks breaks\, and have with mixed teams of men and women and a variety of age groups and abilities. DESCRIPTION:Join us for a stroll along the Quayside\, followed by a soft drink at Quayside Garden Newcastle. \nMeeting point: 1:30pm at the Millennium Bridge\, Newcastle side \nRoute details: The route is 0.9 miles\, step-free and paved throughout. We will cross the Millennium Bridge\, taking the inclined path up towards the Glasshouse (formerly Sage). We’ll follow the footpath along the river\, crossing back to Newcastle via the Swing Bridge\, before making our way back to our meeting point\, stopping off for a soft drink at the ‘Quayside Garden’. If you would prefer not participate in the walk\, you are very welcome to just join us for a drink. \nParking: There is limited parking along the Quayside\, but there are a number of car parks a short walk away from the meeting point. \nQuayside multi-storey car park – NE1 2HJ\nSt Ann’s car park – NE1 3DX\nBaltic Arts Centre car park – NE8 3QZ \nPublic Transport: The closest metro is Manors (10 min walk) or Central (16 min walk). \nPlease let Hannah know if you would like to attend!
