Headway2work

Headway2work is a specialist vocational support service in County Durham and Darlington, aimed at enabling people with brain injury to stay in work or begin their journey back into work, volunteering, training, or education.

Headway2work is an occupational therapy-led service. We offer personalised, face to face support for people with brain injury in three main ways:

1. Job Stability Support

We provide support for people who have a job and might be off sick or need help to successfully remain in an existing job after their brain injury.

2. Re-accessing Work, Education or Training

This is suitable for people who are motivated and ready to work following their brain injury but need help to find and apply for suitable employment, education, or training.

3. Volunteering and Getting Work Ready

After brain injury, some people need support to think about work or prefer the idea of a supported work placement or volunteering. We offer support for people wanting to learn more about themselves and their skills after brain injury and what the next steps might be for them.
