Every 90 seconds, someone in the UK is admitted to hospital with a brain injury – that’s a staggering 350,000 people per year. Headway’s Action for Brain Injury (ABI) Week is an annual campaign designed to raise awareness and understanding of brain injury and to help give survivors and their loved ones a voice

As a small charity, Headway Tyneside is always grateful to receive donations to support our valuable work. During Action for Brain injury Week, Sinton’s Court of Protection team took creative steps to fundraise for us, by hosting a soup fundraiser for their colleagues.

“I am delighted to share that we have raised £157! We had so much fun hosting the event and are very proud to support Headway Tyneside to continue their wonderful work across the North East! We have had lots of great discussions with our Sintons colleagues today about Headway Tyneside and ABI Week and many were surprised to learn that every 90 seconds somebody in the UK is admitted to hospital with a brain injury.

We look forward to continuing to work alongside Headway Tyneside in the future!”

Fundraising for Headway Tyneside is a rewarding way to get involved and support our vital work.

However you choose to raise funds, from completing the Great North Run to hosting a bake sale – you will be helping our charity to support brain injury survivors, and their families in our local area.
