The iconic Great North Run takes place on Sunday 10th September. Headway UK is organising a cheering point to encourage all the runners who are kindly fundraising for Headway.

Will you join us in cheering on the runners?

There are runners from all across the country taking part in the GNR for Headway, as well as our very own Ellie and Jo who are supporting Headway Tyneside with their fundraising efforts!

The Headway cheer station will be to set up along the route with branding and noise making items, jelly babies to give out, and lots of cheering.  It’ll be family friendly if people want to bring children along to join in the cheering.

Headway Cheering Station

The Headway Cheering Station will be around mile 8 of the Half Marathon route along Leam Lane (NE32 3TU). The Headway team will be there with big flags, ready to give the runners a huge cheer as they pass! Knowing that friends, family, and the team from Headway are there to support the runners can really help spur them on in their challenge!

If you are free, come along and join our cheering station, the more the merrier! We will have flags, ‘bang bang’ sticks & most importantly a loud voice to cheer the runners all on!
