Carers Rights Day – online information session for family carers

This session will be led by Julie King, Family Support Officer for Cumbria, Northumberland, Tyne and Wear NHS Foundation Trust based in Walkergate Park Hospital.

In this short interactive session we will cover:

• The Care Act: what the law says about what you should expect from health and social care; including how to plan for an assessment so that you are able to access support and services that meet your family’s needs.
• Respite options and taking a break.
• Rights in the workplace.
• Managing someone’s affairs.
• Other entitlements and services that you could find helpful in your caring role.
