June Outing: Saltwell Park

Come and join us for a walk and a coffee around Saltwell Park in Gateshead!
The park boasts walking routes that are paved and flat, with a beautiful lake and gardens to walk around.
There is also a café to stop at for a hot or cold drink, where we can either sit in or take away, dogs are welcome in the café.
Getting there:
By foot
The park is easily accessible by foot from many areas of Gateshead. A walk from the centre of Gateshead will take around 30 minutes (also from the nearest metro – Gateshead).
The park has entrances on East Park Road, West Park Road, Saltwell Road South, Saltwell View and Joicey Road.
By car
Postcode NE8 4SF will take you direct to the car park. The car and coach park is accessed from Durham Road (A167) via Joicey Road. The car park is free all year round and includes three blue badge spaces.
By bus
The buses 53 and 54 run regularly from Gateshead Interchange to Saltwell Park.
The gardens are free access.
