Walking football is a fun and safe way for players to enjoy football and socialise together, in teams up to 7-a-side.
Walking football involves no running, jogging, or heading. Physical contact is kept to a minimum – no slide tackling or tackling from behind. The ball has to stay below chest height.
Our walking football group runs every Wednesday from 1-2pm. We take regular drinks breaks, and have with mixed teams of men and women and a variety of age groups and abilities. The coaches at Newcastle United Foundation are all highly skilled, and make sure that everyone feels included and goes home with a smile on their face.
